We started Modernly Events to provide you with design-forward event rentals and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Nine years ago, we were in your wedding planning shoes. We were planning our wedding in a non-traditional venue that required us to build an event from the ground up. Our biggest challenge was finding furniture and decor rentals that felt “like us” – they either felt too corporate, too traditional, or too much like someone else’s idea of modern style. Of course, we ended up sourcing and making a lot of our own furniture and decor to style our wedding day.
After our wedding, we had that gut feeling there just had to be other couples like us, searching in vain for unique rentals for their wedding day. So Modernly Events was born, first operating from our home’s spare bedroom and taking over our basement and garage. We later moved to a 400-sqft storage unit, eventually reaching maximum capacity there and once again storing rentals at our home. We took the leap in May 2019 to our first warehouse space and love having our home back again!
